Yamilé Bernal Gonzalez is a dedicated Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist who holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Portsmouth. With over 25 years of experience across private practice and NHS settings, she is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy (BSDHT), certified by the Swiss Dental Academy in Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), and holds a post-qualification in tooth whitening. She began her dental career in the UK after completing her dental vocational training in Cuba in 1999, developing a comprehensive clinical foundation that informs her holistic approach to patient care.
From 2006, Yamilé served as a Lead Dental Nurse on Harley Street, supporting specialists in Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Implantology. She later spent 12 years as a Senior Specialist Dental Nurse within the Community Dental Service (NHS Trust), specialising in the Paediatric and Adult Special Care Departments. In this role, she demonstrated her ability to provide compassionate care for vulnerable groups and individuals with additional needs.
Yamilé holds NEBDN certification and post-qualifications in Dental Sedation, Radiography, Oral Health Education, and Fluoride Varnish Application. A qualified educator in Secondary, Further, and Higher Education, she also has extensive experience teaching dental nursing courses and training the next generation of dental professionals.
Over the past three years, Yamilé has delivered exceptional care across multiple private practices, where she is known for her ability to remain composed in stressful situations. She is passionate about empowering patients to achieve long-term oral health through education and motivation. She particularly enjoys supporting anxious patients and children, aiming to help those with periodontal disease achieve positive outcomes and renewed self-confidence through holistic, patient-centered care.
